Beef-Asado

Beef Asado is a tomato based beef dish that originated from Central Luzon. This is an awesome recipe that you can prepare during ordinary days.

Ingredients:

1. 3 lbs. beef brisket or chuck, thinly sliced

2. 1 cup uncooked thick potato fries

3. 3 pieces dried bay leaves

4. 1 large yellow onion, minced

5. 1 tablespoon soy sauce

6. 1 teaspoon garlic powder

7. 2 tablespoons lemon juice

8. 3 tablespoons salted butter

9. 1 tablespoon olive oil

10. 1 cup water

11. Salt and pepper to taste

Procedures:

1. Melt the butter in a pan and add the olive oil.

2. Sauté the onion until it becomes soft.

3. Add the beef. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

4. Put-in the garlic powder soy sauce, lemon juice, tomato sauce, and water. Stir and let boil.

5. Add the bay leaves and simmer for 40 to 60 minutes (add water as necessary).

6. Add the potato fries. Cook for 10 minutes.

7. Add salt and pepper to taste.

8.Transfer to a serving plate.

9. Serve hot with Rice and Enjoy!!!
